It's quite true, Oliver Cromwell made it illegal, it's one of the many archaic laws that have never been taken off the statute books, my sources make fun pre Christmas reading, except I'm Welsh and you can shoot a Welsh person all day on a Sunday, with a longbow in the Cathedral Close, Hereford.
